Pyrography & Iconic painting on wood

Inspired by Illustrative works of fairy tales and Russian Icons Sandra has painted art pieces by decorating wood with burn marks and painting mediums on differnt kinds of hardwoods. They say that "a true icon is supposedly miraculous discovery.  that has 'appeared', as a gift from above, one opening the way to the Prototype and able to perform miracles"

Feature 1

In Victorian times pyrography was more popular, being accepted as an art form called pokerwork. This because they would have used a stove to heat different shaped tools.  Today artist have availible to them electric tools to enable one to have a large range of tones and shades. It is becoming popular agian it is no wonder because of the the beautiful design in wooden objects that are often colored. Sandra is useing light hardwoods such as oak, beech and berch.
